LennyChesal300x300Dear friends, members, and sponsors of the South Florida Technology Alliance,

2013 has been an exciting, fun filled, and very successful year for the South Florida tech community. Start-ups, incubators, the build-up for eMerge, jobs growth, salary increases, collaboration and cooperation – all of this and more is the crescendo of energy fueling the future. At SFTA we have expanded our sponsors (thank you!) tried new locations (hello Miami) and averaged almost 50% higher attendance at our monthly events. We continue to partner with and promote our university relationships, increased our visibility with many of the other tech associations in the region, and traveled to other regions to see how we can continue to grow with the insight and experience our neighbors in the state happily shared.

We have bigger and better plans for 2014 and will make certain we continue to offer value to our members and sponsors with the quality of programs and support we delivered in 2013. We need your help to make all of this happen. Encourage your friends, colleagues, and business partners to join, sponsor, and participate and find a way to increase your personal involvement by joining or chairing a committee. You will create opportunities for yourself and your company to get even more out of your association with the SFTA. Take the challenge – step up – and make 2014 the year you help us make a difference in South Florida’s tech community.

We wish you and yours a happy and healthy holiday season.
Lenny Chesal
2013 SFTA Board Chair
