As the VP of IT, Sharon is responsible for enabling the Tyco Vertical Markets growth objectives by leading change and leveraging technology. Prior to her current position, Sharon has 20 years of IT experience in multiple industries including, financial, automotive, mining & metals, and manufacturing. She has worked for organizations such as General Electric, Hyundai Automotive, and General Motors. Sharon earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and completed various programs at Harvard University, MIT and Wharton School of Business. Originally from Canada, Sharon now lives with her husband, four children, and 2 dogs in South Florida.
Patrick DolinyMBA, CIO, Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO)
Patrick Doliny, MBA, is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Broward Sheriff’s Office. He is an executive communications and ICT officer with more than 25 years of experience in military and civilian science and technology solutions including communication, cryptology, information security, and infrastructure development. As CIO for Broward Sheriff’s Office, Patrick oversees the innovation, design, implementation and maintenance of the BSO’s Advanced Public Safety ICT programs. More than 6,000 users throughout the agency rely on this division for efficient communication. He also oversees the BSO’s Records Department, with over 60 employees handling nearly 60,000 public information requests annually from law enforcement organizations and private citizens.

Helping Students Create Videos – ITWomen Role Model Speakers Update
ROLE MODEL SPEAKERS PROGRAM AT URGENT INC.
For the first time, ITWomen worked with Urgent Inc. during their summer camp, which was held at University of Miami Campus. Lead presenters Victor Herrera and his colleague, Morexi Morejon, both of Terremark, visited the camp each week for four weeks to teach students how to make a video short. Each girl was given a copy of the group-effort video, “USALand”.
