(NASDAQ: ELNK), a leading IT services and communications provider, today announced that Joe Monaco has joined the company as Director of Sales for Florida. Based in Boca Raton,Monaco is responsible for management and leadership of EarthLink’s Florida and Gulf Coast sales offices. He will also support the growth of EarthLink customers in this area with the expansion of the company’s IT services portfolio and EarthLink’s new Miami data center, scheduled to come online in the next few months.

Prior to joining EarthLink, Monaco most recently served as General Manager of the South Florida region for Level 3 Communications. Other positions during his extensive sales career include roles of increasing responsibility during a nine-year tenure at Deltacom, including Regional Vice President of Florida Sales, where he managed nine offices; Regional Director, where he recruited and trained sales management, sales representatives and customer retention specialists for multiple-branches in South Florida; and Branch Manager.
