U.S. – Brazil / Brazil – U.S. Business:
Cross-Border Operational Challenges and Sales Opportunities
Brazil has sustained growth throughout the global recession and continues to be viewed as one of the fastest growing economies. It has consolidated its position as the sixth largest economy in the world after surpassing the United Kingdom this year. Economic development and political stability have fueled a dynamic private sector and marketplace. This has resulted in U. S. companies creating and expanding their operations in Brazil. It has also enabled Brazilian-owned businesses to enter and expand their operations in the U.S. What can we learn about profitable expansion across borders? What are the operations challenges and sales opportunities that companies see in each other’s markets?
