The New York Times on Monday ran a story about Waterloo University in Canada and how that university works with local businesses to supply highly qualified job candidates.   That cooperation has both helped the companies find good employees and helped the university become one of the world’s best technology schools.  One of the company benefactors has been RIM (now Blackberry), a firm that has a development lab here in South Florida.

Should our local universities consider similar programs?
