EDC's annual Life Science conference will be hosted by Nova Southeastern University in Davie on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. The theme of the conference will be Environmental and Ecological Biotechnology and the diverse research, development and commercialization taking place throughout South Florida. Specific topics covered include:
- Conservation Biology
- Medicines from the Sea
- Bioenergy and Clean Energy
- Biotechnology Waste Management
- Genetic Biodiversity and Genetic Connectivity
The conference features keynote speakers and panel discussions covering South Florida's pipeline of emerging technologies; venture capital funding of Life Science products and services; and efforts to harness our natural resources to preserve the planet.
Over 300 members of industry and academia will gather to explore new ways to work together to enhance South Florida's research and commercialization base, create new companies, and have a meaningful impact on economic development in our region and the state.
