On 3 February 2011, the central pool of available IPv4 addresses managed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) was depleted when each Regional Internet Registry (RIR) received its last /8 or 16,777,216 addresses.
The deployment of IPv6, a newer protocol that offers many more addresses, is imperative to the long-term growth, security and stability of the Internet.

Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance’s Robin Ronne Re-Appointed to CoreNet Global Board of Directors
BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Robin Ronne, Managing Director, CEO Council, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, has been re-appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of CoreNet Global, the world’s largest professional association for corporate real estate and workplace executives, service providers, and economic developers. His board re-appointment was announced today at the Closing General Session of the April 29
– May 1 San Diego Global Summit.

Technology professionals are in the driver’s seat again when it comes to jobs and salaries, a new survey indicates.

South Florida employers are concerned about losing their employees with tech skills, according to a new survey of more than 1,000 tri-county technology workers by ProTech, a Boca Raton staffing company.
